Timber palings are affordable, easy to repair and suit period homes. The trade-off is that timber and ground moisture don't mix, so detailing matters more than materials.
We use H4-treated posts concreted with the top of the footing sloped away, keep palings clear of soil contact, and can add a plinth board so the fence never sits in wet ground.
Every quote is itemised — materials, excavation, footings, drainage and gates listed line by line, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
A properly built treated pine fence with concreted posts and no soil contact will give you 15–20 years. Re-oiling every two to three years extends that and keeps the colour.
Often yes. If the posts are sound we can replace palings and rails only. If posts have rotted at ground level, that section needs redoing properly.
